Truth Talk about Purpose and Value

I’m ready to untangle the confusion about purpose and value
Have you noticed that there’s a lot of noise out there about finding your purpose? Especially in the spiritual and personal development worlds, right? For years, I was obsessed with finding my purpose – so much so, that I even got certified as a Life Purpose Coach!
And if you consider yourself a coach, healer, or a heart-centered human, finding your purpose seems to be even more confusing. Why? Because we’re also obsessed with giving value and being aligned. And all of this searching for purpose can leave you exhausted!
After years of searching and chasing after my purpose, here’s what unfolded for me when I finally stopped and listened to my own inner wisdom:
👉 Your purpose is not what you do.
👉 Your value is not based on how much you give.
You Don’t Find Your Purpose — You Remember It
I thought if I searched long enough or hard enough, I’d find my purpose - maybe hiding under a rock. It wasn’t until I stopped chasing, that my purpose found me. In fact, it was me.
And you don’t have to find your purpose either. You’re already living it. Even if you’re a hot mess today. Even if you forgot to floss. Even if your biggest accomplishment this week was not sending that snarky email. Even if you’re distracting yourself by binge watching Netflix.
Your purpose is what’s always moving through your life. The question is: how fully are you willing to experience the truth of who you are? How much are you willing to receive, notice, and feel? How much magic and possibility are you willing to embrace?
Your purpose isn’t out there. It’s already here; it’s woven into every breath, every breakdown, and every breakthrough. It’s not something to step into; it’s something to surrender to.
In the famous words of Yoda, “Do or do not, there is no try.” By just being you (the real “you”, not the “you” that someone else thinks you should be), your purpose is being expressed in the world.
💰 Value Is Not About Worthiness
You are not here to earn your place. You are here because Life wanted you. End of story.
You are inherently valuable, even if you don’t look like a model or you have an extra wrinkle or two (or three or more). You’re valuable if your monkey mind is running amok and won’t shut up about your failures and shortcomings.
Your sacredness isn’t up for debate.
I thought I was only valuable if I was showing up, being useful, helping others, proving my spiritual maturity, healing, guiding, and coaching. And if people weren’t recognizing and appreciating my wisdom, then I didn’t feel valuable. I felt like something was wrong with me.
I was desperate to prove myself and it turned into a soul-sucking endeavor. 😢
But when I stopped trying to stop prove myself, opportunities showed up. I simply needed to let what pours out of me flow naturally. I just needed to breathe, relax, and become anchored in my own joy.
This is why I decided to work with only three people at a time. It works for me, my brilliance, and my energy. No more following what others think is the right way to do things. My clients are ready to go deep. My clients recognize my wisdom and appreciate the intention and the questions I bring to our appointments. My clients invite me to be a witness for them as they navigate their way back to themselves. And it’s a beautiful thing.
What if you stopped trying to twist yourself into spiritual knots trying to be good enough? What if you stopped “trying to serve” and let yourself receive more instead? What if you listened (really listened) to your own inner wisdom? What if you stopped “finding your purpose” and started living your weird, wild, and sacred life exactly as it is?
What if you just declared, “I am enough. I am on purpose. And that’s good enough for me!”?
Because that is a truth worth living.
